The Wilwood Dynamic Lug Drive Rotor Top Hat is a rotor mounting hub designed for Big Brake applications, using a dynamic lug-drive system that allows the brake rotor to move independently of the hat as it expands and contracts through repeated heat cycles. This arrangement removes thermally generated stress from the rotor attachment points, helping the rotor remain flatter and run truer while maintaining consistent brake response and pedal feel. Spring-loaded replaceable stainless steel inserts protect the aluminium hat from wear, while a single snap-ring retains the rotor without conventional rotor mounting bolts.
