AIR FILTER SEAL KIT

One of the biggest issue we find leading to top end rebuilds and cylinder damage, is from the airfilter not seating tightly on the airbox. This allows dirt and dust to be sucked into the cylinder damaging reeds and being dragged up the cyclinder between the piston.

The plastic air filter cages warp over time from fuel, oil and heat changes, making gaps between the airfilter and the airbox.

The solution.... SMX Air Filter Seal Kit.

Simply remove the airfilter.

Clean the airbox seat base to remove and oil/grease (Ideally use acetone or neat petrol).

Remove the covering from the 3m adhesive.

Install the Air Filter Seal onto the airbox seat base .

Push the seal with your thumb to create good seal.

Reinstall airfilter

Compatible with all models below, with all brand foam filters .
